This is what happens when you stare at a computer screen or play hundreds of hours of video games for too many years. You don't become cross eyed, you become wild eyed. Your eyes are unable to work as a team anymore. I guess I could always get a glass eye, but which eye is more important? How would I choose which one to replace? Eyes are definitely one of the most underappreciated and undervalued part of your body. We take things for granted like vision. I tried to correct my vision once and bought a pair of eye glasses for $400. I lost them within three months, so I bought another pair. Vision is more than just be able to see straight. Visions are the things that help us achieve the future through change. Visions are the dreams and goals that we have that we are constantly trying to achieve. A visionary is one who experiences a vision or phenomenon connected to the supernatural.
I don't need glasses to achieve perfect vision. True vision cannot be lost and you do not have to be able to see clearly or at all to have one. The best way to live, is by creating or molding the present, into the future through your visions. Unfortunately, an eye doctor (also called optometrist or opthalmologist), cannot correct wild eyed people's visions like mine. Though they can correct many other eye disorders like: dry eye syndrom, cataracts, or blepharitis, my condition is permanent.
Martin Luther King had visions and dreams. Sergey Brin and Larry Page had a vision and a dream. Their vision happened to transform the business world into what it is today. Yahoo, had a strong hold on the market for a short period of time, but Yahoo's vision quickly turned into a nightmare once Google entered the scene. If you do not have a website for your business, your business is stuck in the past. Even if you have a website, your website has to rank well in order to succeed online. I have visions all of the time, sometimes I am able to make my visions succeed and sometimes my visions fail. Failing to have a vision is worse than having a vision that fails. The background image for this blog was a vision that I had and implemented.
Other eye problems include:
A wandering eye, can be a disorder of the brain with coordinating the eyes, or a disorder of one or more muscles. Wandering eye problems are usually co-managed between orthoptists and ophthalmologists. A wandering eye should not be confused with a lazy eye. "Wandering eye" is also a term that is used to describe when a person in a committed relationship sees someone he or she is mentally or physically attracted to other then his spouse, partner, or significant other, sometimes leading to infidelity or an affair.
During eye exams, eye doctors (orthoptists, ophthalmologists and optometrists), typically use a cover test to help with a diagnosis of wandering eye. If the eye being tested is the wandering eye, it will fixate on the object after the "normal" eye is covered. If the "normal" eye is being tested, there will be no change in fixation.
Eye cancer is an actual disease that affects the vision of many patients. Our vision is for our clients to support cancer awareness, infromation, education, and research.
Eye cancers can be primary (starts within the eye) and metastatic (spread to the eye from another part of the body). The two most common cancers that spread to the eye from another part of the body are breast cancer and lung cancer.
Lazy eye (scientifically known as Amblyopia), is a disorder that is characterized by poor vision in an eye that is otherwise physically normal, or out of proportion to associated structural abnormalities.
The problem is caused by poor or no transmission of the visual image to the tie control sinew connecting both eyes. Unbalanced genes cause Amblyopia, normally affecting one eye. The resulting wander normally occurs under severe stress, it is also possible to be afflicted with blipoamblyopic causing eyes to cross over caused by the shrinking sinew syndrom similarly depriving ones outward visual appearance also impeeding a clear visual image. Detecting the condition in early childhood increases the chance of successful treatment.
While the term "lazy eye" is regularly used to refer to amblyopia, the term is incorrect because there is no "laziness" of either the eye or the amblyope with the condition. "Lazy brain" would be a more correct term to describe lazy eye. If minor and detected early, amblyopia (lazy eye) can many times be corrected with use of an eyepatch (covering the dominant eye) and/or with vision therapy. These techniques will usually not have any effect on strabismus.

Oh Say Can You see? Our national anthem was written by an amateur poet and lawyer by the name of Francis Scott Key. But this article isn't about the Star Spangled Banner, it's about your eyes. While you may view yourself as a healthy person who makes great effort to take care of your body, the burning question is this:do you take care of your eyes? Americans spend millions of dollars each year working out at the local gym, but how much money have they invested on their eyes? Our eyes are organs that we need to take care of or else we risk the chance of damaging them or potentially lose our sight. So how should we pamper our baby blues or puppy dog browns? Begin pampering your eyes with this tip: if you get something in one of your eyes, do not rub them. Rubbing your eyes can scratch them and cause the foreign object in your eye to get lodged even deeper making the situation worse. Wash your hands and gently pull down the lower eyelid. Examine the upper eyelid the same way. Rinsing your eye with water can help to dislodge the object. If you still don't have success you may need to visit the doctor. Do not try and remove the foreign object on your own, a doctor can easily remove an object with a specialized instrument. Remember your mom telling you not to look directly into the sun?
